Our 2025 Ner Tamid Honoree

This year we will honor Ann and Howard Mesnikoff Crystal with Hill Havurah’s Ner Tamid (Eternal Light) Award for their many years and countless hours serving the Hill Havurah. As early members, Howard and Ann have been leaders throughout the community's journey. One of them has always been on the board since its earliest iteration, serving as Vice-Chair (Ann) and Chair (Howard); Ann helped lead the search committee for the hiring of Rabbi Hannah and has worked to reduce waste at our Shabbat dinners; and Howard spearheaded the initiative for Havurah members to purchase plots together in a section of Congressional Cemetery. They were also very involved in Yavneh, where Sheina and Nate studied. In earlier Havurah years, Howard and Ann hosted many events, including Torah dedication, Sukkot and Hanukkah parties, Havdalahs, and m ore. Their dedication and leadership has helped us all create the vibrant community the Hill Havurah is today.

If you have any questions, feel free to email us at HHgala@HillHavurah.org.
