Judaism speaks over and over again of ancestry and remembrance. In this class we will explore what this means, or does not mean, for each of us, regardless of background. We will look at how the past shows up in the present in ways we see and understand, and in ways we don't see and may not yet comprehend. This is an overview of personal, collective, and other modes of inheritance of past wars, horrors, and traumas undefined that show up in our lives in sneaky ways, and an offering of tools to navigate the realities we carry.
