This will be a full overview of mediation practices from Aryeh Kaplan's 1970's reinvigoration of Kabbalistic meditation, to rituals like Hidbodedut and Hitbonenut, nuanced practices that include speaking to the trees. What does Judaism offer in lieu of mindfulness? Why do so many Jews look elsewhere for nervous system calming techniques? Is there a reason we are rarely taught those in our own tradition? Will will discuss!
