6:00 PM - 7:30 PMReading Ezra in an Age of Mass Deportations
Tuesday, February 25th from 6-7:30pm
*with Dinner and Babysitting*
Hill Havurah Offices/Gan Classrooms
The biblical book of Ezra contains the Jewish legal, moral, and structural foundations that were used to justify the deportation of a portion of non-citizens fully integrated into a community. Join Rabbi Hannah for an in-depth text study with commentary from contemporary rabbinic voices exploring competing values and moral questions raised in how we construct our sense of national identity. We'll have dinner from Shouk for grown ups, and pizza for kids in babysitting. Register here to attend, and to note if you'll be bringing a kid (or more) for babysitting!
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Operations Director Jocelyn Donahue at jocelyn.donahue@hillhavurah.org
